Picked up a Taurus 650 in stainless at the end of last year. Decent weapon, I put several hundred rounds of .38 special & +P through it but came to the conclusion that while a 2" barrel is good for concealment my accuracy needed a wee bit longer barrel. Not to mention that .357 is painfull from that little a weapon... :banghead: I also want something long enough to carry hunting with me. I have no beef with Taurus & if I find a good deal again on one, I'd grab it. It just isn't what I really want right now.

So I traded it in today for an early '90's 4" S&W Model 64. I'll pick it up on Friday & go put a nice bunch of 158gr LRN through it :)

So what's a good way to shine up the somewhat scuffed stainless steel?

(Pics after the waiting period ... )

Pics as promised. The bag is my Maxpedition Jumbo EDC which is my combination wallet, camera bag & CC bag.

The little paper plate target isn't as good as many of you regularly shoot, but it's a good start for someone as rusty as I am. Practice practice practice is what I need. Fortunately, this firearm will make that a pleasure. I've also learned it likes 125 gr JHP much more than it likes 158 gr LRN...

That is SAWEEEET looking. Good shooting also.

As far as polishing that thing up, I'd get a sand blaster and bead it. Or you can put many hours of elbow grease(while watching TV so no time lost) and some FLITZ and make that thing look like a mirror.

See I'm butt ugly and the last thing that I need to see is my face in a reflection on my revolver ;)
