Mag Pouch for IDPA Matches

I am shooting my first idpa match this month and would like some recommendations for a good double mag pouch. Thanks

In my opinion, there not a good DOUBLE. They put them too close together, and they are a PITA to get the mag out of.

With singles, you can space them the way YOU like them.

I also would NOT suggest a "Clip on". I've seen them come out with the magazine, and they don't fit in the bottom of the gun very well!:banghead:

I've had okay luck with a FOBUS paddle double mag holder. YMMV, but it works okay for me.

Yah, for IDPA the Fobus double works, and they do make singles.

I use the Comptac double, and they are spaced out pretty far apart. If anything I might ideally put them just a touch closer together, but I go for my 3rd mag so rarely that it doesn't make any real difference (it is extremely rare that the 3rd mag is actually a part of my plan... it is a backup 99.99% of the time), and with the double, at least they will be spaced exactly the same distance apart every time. The double doesn't wander on the belt like the single version can either.

G-Code makes a nice double with the front mag canted forward. I personally use 2 comp-tac singles.
