Just got a catlog selling this stuff very cheap, thats what worries me!Has any one had any experience with it?? Don't have it handy but believe its "Guardian Gold" brand name.

I have used magtech 9mm fmj in my P99 with no problems. I think it is similar in quality to the Winchester White Box stuff (read: not the best, but gets the job done). That said, people have said that the .45 magtech ammo has an awful smell to it but I cant verify that not having a .45 and all.

I use Magtech 9mm FMJ in my Steyr M9, 400 rounds with only 1 that didn't fire (primer was dented, dunno what happened), and no jams.

I shot a couple boxes of .45 once, it functioned fine and I didn't notice any funny smell.....

I did 2000 rounds of their 9mm 115gr FMJ a couple of months ago w/o any malfunctions. I tried it in several of my 9's.

The range I belong to sells it and uses it in their MP5's. They haven't had any problems with the stuff.

As others have said, it's around the same quality as the value pack 9mm. Dirty, but cheap to shoot and goes bang each time.

I recently shot a couple boxes of Magtech .380 through my Bersa .380 and Mauser HSc with no problems of any kind. That's the only experience I have with Magtech.

I just went through 150 rds of it in .45 today with no problems , then 100 rds white box right after and it all smelled the same to me.

I've used MagTech by the case in 38, 40, 44 mag, 45, 357 and 30 carbine. Good stuff at good prices. Price was what drew me to it to begin with, good results keeps it at or near the top of my shopping list.

MagTech "Guardian Gold" is a new line of hollow point ammo aimed at LE and home defense. The prices MAY sound cheap until you notice it's 20 round boxes.

for the price, if you get no ignition on 1 in 400, no big deal. Not like you're gonna be carrying the stuff.

Is Mag Tec brass cased and boxer primed? If so, has anyone reloaded any of their brass?

My Marlin M94 won't group well with their 240gr JSP .44mag offering. Their .32acp 73gr JHP won't expand from my P-32 even into bare Playdough, though offers good accuracy.

That's my experience on their ammunition.

Mag-tech

KY,
their cases are reloadable. I have had a few in some mixed .45 brass seemed okay to me. I have heard some people that do not like them. I have bought mag tech bullets to reload and have found them to be excellent. When midway sold them fmj cost about the same as lead bullets.

I haven't noticed any problems with reloading the brass from Mag Tech ammo. My range sells it pretty cheap so alot of the brass I pick up is this stuff.

I've used lots of the regular line of Magtech ammo in various calibers and reloaded it without any problems. I've noticed the Guardian line, but never used it. And it is usually priced in 20 round boxes.

MagTech

Sounds like it 's worth trying,I did notice the 20rd box.It still seemed cheap compared to CB,etc. Thanks for all the responses

I've fired about 250 rounds of their .44 mag ammo. It functions and the brass is easily reloadable. They're magnum loads, but they aren't hot. The 240 grainers are doing 1,140fps.

I find the accuracy sub par with my Redhawk.
