I recently bought some new grips for my Hi Power hoping it would help with the magazine removal but doesn't help. Without any grips on the mag drops free for the most part (Magazine disconnect) but after adding Pachmayr combat grips the mag is harder to remove. I'm wondering where exactly I should focus my attempts on. The side panals don't seem to be the problem so i'm baffled.

Anyone have any advice?

Well, are you going to tell us what the problem was, or not??

Inquiring minds want to know!

It is possible the grip screws are too long and going into the magazine area, contacting the magazine. I would check that out first. Happened to me once.
Don't be too quick to blame the grip screws. On the "T" series Hi-Power, the grips screws enter the frame behind the mag. They cannot come in contact with the mag.

All you need is two little shims with thickness about 0.5 mm. Must be made of metal or hard plastic and put between the grips and the frame. Screws go through them. Works every time with Pachmayrs.

Picked up a set of great looking wood grips for my HP. When I installed them, I found that the raised portion on the back of the grip extended into the magwell and bound up the clip! A little work with a sanding block solved the problem.
