Decisions has been made for Saturday. Get up early in the morning, have my cup of coffee then load the car for the range. Weapons of choice: No 1 Ruger 45-70, Marlin 1885 45-70, Winchester pre-64 30-30. Need to try out the peep sights on the No. 1 Maybe start at 50 yards?

Now for the hand guns: S&W 66 in a 2 3/4" barrel and one in a 6" barrel. OLD very OLD Charter Arms 38, Mitchel Citation 22 and to keep on my side a Charter Arms Backpacker 44 special. I picked up 4 extra mags for the Mitchel and really wondering how much tuning they are going to need.

I did not fell like picking up my brass so the wheel guns are seeing the light of day........if it does not rain.

Sounds like a plan. Nice collection of wheel guns to play with today. I remember friends of mine who use to shoot High Standard .22s in competition telling me how much work it was matching extra magazines to specific guns. Some would work fine in one gun but not in another. Once you found one that ran fine you labelled it to that gun only. Hope things go okay with your Mitchell Citation in that regard.

You are correct about the magazines. This is a Mitchell High Standard Citation which is a direct copy of the High Standard. It uses the same magazines and they can be a problem.

The guns do not have a bullet ramp to feed the bullets into the chamber. The bullet has to be at the correct angle coming out of the magazine. They make a tool to adjust the feed angle of the magazines.

A couple years ago i bought 5 extra mags off the net and never adjust them. i will take them to the smith to have them done.

The gun is deadly accurate.
