I would really like to know what kind of pistol he was carrying that isn't "drop safe" from 3'. None of my firearms would (at least shouldn't) discharge if dropped.

I don't know which type of small pistol the man was carrying, yet, I do know that you do not put your "pocket junk" in the same pocket as your piece, pocket holster or not!

"drop safe pistol", as i understand it, wihout an exposed hammer.(J-Frames!)

IMHO, the man, whether CHL APPROVED or not, was an idiot. And yes, he just might be the cause for that new clean "no guns" sticker on the door, now.

Pockets aren't designed to hold pistols securely. Holsters are.

The degree to which a holster "securely" holds a gun various considerably with make and model of holster and type of gun. This is especially true for some like some of the Uncle Mike's pocket holsters that are more of a sleeve designed to help hide the outline of the gun more so than to secure the gun into the pocket. Some pocket holsters do a better job of securing themselves in the pocket than they do actually securing the gun.

So, from the video and the news story, they haven't found this moron, yet?

Heck, as of December 29, they had not even pulled the bullet from the ceiling.

So, High Roaders, what exactly should be this man's penalty for his error?

Forbid to carry? Maybe until certain legal/ punitive reparations are met? Do you think nearby patrons are lawyering up? Should blatant idiocy be forgiven the first time?

This is embarrassing. Just feeds the anti argument.
