Check this out. San Antonio: "Man Recounts Shooting of Home Intruder"
From WOAI NBC 4 San Antonio:

What I found interesting about this clip is, the intruder didn't have a weapon. Anti gun types like to say ignorant things like "if no one had guns" and other fantasy talk due to watching too much TV and failing to use their brains. Rock, stick, knife, or nothing at all, bad guy can harm you. In magic TV land of anti gun types, he should have given the guy a karate chop and called the police....

PS: There's a lesson in the vid about safety on guns anyone who owns guns should take heed...

It is the same lesson people need for any form of dangerous tool. You need to know how to use it properly. It is NOT an issue with safeties, but an issue with learning and training.

The hero in the story made a LOT of mistakes knowing there was a stranger on his property, not locking his doors, not getting a gun he knew how to use, not checking the condition of the gun when he retrieved it, attempting to fire, jacking out a live round and attempting again, then finally getting a clue and shooting the intruder. Had it not been for the fact that the intruder was unarmed and moving so slowly and poorly motivated, he would have been dead.

Otherwise, the hero did very well.

Oh wait, he should not be on camera, recounting his story. If anything, it should have been done through his lawyer.

I don't see any reason to make this thread into a political one on what the antis will or will not say until they do say something.

In my town recently a young punk trying to escape the police crashed through a sceen into a young girls bedroom. Her father shot him and he died instantly. It was ruled justified but for days the liberals were writing letters to the newspapers at what a tradgedy it was that this punk got what he deserved.

Burglaries have been down since the shooting.:D

Sans...I agree. I'm not sure we in the USofA have a clue what a "hero" is any more! Hero is truly an over used accolade these days.
