March Scopes finally did it! They now have a 3-24x52 with a Christmas Tree. This new reticle is the FML-T1 Illuminated reticle! It’s a Mil FFP scope, with 28 Mil (120 MOA) Elevation, and 17 Mil (98 MOA) Windage. 24.5 ounces weight, and parallax that goes down to 5 yards! I know what the specs say, but this one I ran at 5 yards and was crystal clear at 24 power. It is an illuminated reticle, with an open center! I got it mounted up in a Spuhr mount, and now just need to pick a rifle and rush to the range! First up is adding an Accuracy 1st Scope Level, and verifying it was mounted level! Please keep in mind you can hear how windy it is, and this was taken with a cell phone, so better pics are to come, once the weather cooperates, and I am at a range. I have included reticle images. Its crystal clear, cell phones don’t usually do scopes justice (at least not always in my hands). First Looks! Enjoy! This is my personal scope.

If you are looking for one, go to www.marchoptics.com. you won't find the reticle but you can request a 3-24x52 with the FML-T1.

Rest of the specs look really cool but sometimes i wonder if the people who design most of these reticles even shoot.
I like some of march's stuff. Hope this one works out for them

Taliv,

This was a joint effort. The design was done hand in hand with a special group of people. Who are now using it. March didn't want all that development and design to go to waste, so they are offering it to everyone under license. It was developed by some pretty excellent shooters!

now i'm curious who. maybe i'm missing something.
if you were involved in the development maybe you could shed some light on the design. (btw, i think we met at LRSE last month)

what's the point of extending the tree down so far and cluttering the FOV? do you really expect to hold on targets at 20+ mils of elevation?

seriously, in my life i don't think i've ever held that much. but about 4 days per week for many years, I watch trace and spot impacts for myself and others in that part of the scope. it's where i would normally position the target in order to catch the trace at max ord. i'd never see it in that cluttered mess.

can you read the numbers at 6x? it seems like it would take less time to dial than to try to count over to the right line and then keep focusing on it so you don't lose it and have to count again.

what's the purpose of the iron cross? and why would you only want to illuminate it?

I have to agree. That's a "good in theory" reticle that doesn't make much sense for real world shooting.

Just a follow up:

This scope has 0.2 mil increments, with 1 mil as indicated. It has 34 over all mil of adjustment, 17 up and 17 down from center. It has a yellow indicator for over 10 mils, on the turret. 10 mils per revolution. It has zero stops, and zero sets. So it reads 0 at 0 if you want. In this mount, you have rough 10 mil down, 25 mil up of adjustment. Parallax is sub 10 yards. Here are some reticle photos, taken with a cell phone so keep that in mind. 30 mm tube. 52 mm front objective. FOV at 100 yards is 35 - 4.4 feet. 1/10 mil per click, 10 mils per revolution. Photos done through cell phone, so keep that in mind.

This reticle makes real world sense, especially if you are on the clock at long range. With 0.2 mil increments I can walk my wind out if necessary. I can either dial the middle value, and hold left or right, or just walk it as necessary. This has enough adjustment to get the 308 out to mile if that is what is wanted. But for my most common range of 1200 yards, I can run everything on the turrets no problem. 3 power is fantastic for close or off hand work. I really like this scope, and believe it will do great on target transitions.

Following up with some images from a 300 - 1500 yard range! Done with a cell phone, so keep that in mind. Scope performed well, we did most of our shooting at the 1200, transitions were nice. More to come. I will work on my photo taking skills with a cell phone and scope one of these days.

Here is a PDF of the Reticle, not a photo of the reticle:

Here are some images, through a cell phone, at the range. One image is at 3X, 10X, and the last is at 24X:
