I've purchased a luger from a individual for $300. never had one never was really interested, but the cost was affordable and he needed the money. from what I could find out the guns authentic, one major problem is the date has been altered. on top of the wepon over the chamber it reads 1910, but the 0 has been scribed in by hand. All the other numbers are the same and stamped from one end to the other. the s/n reads 3623 and they seem to be in the right places. theres also 07 stamped on the knuckle and where the hammer should be. I've fired it and it cycled with no problem. I was told after the fact I shouldn't have, but why buy a gun you can't or won't shoot. never made scense to me. I'd welcome any help in this matter. also it was made in erfurt.

I saw some original leather for them at the show last weekend at the bargain price of $495. I've also heard the guns value in the thousands.
