I had to buy it myself, but I am getting a 16 gauge Marlin 90 OU for my recent birthday.

I had a couple of checks arrive just at the right time, so was able to put a good chunk of money down on the Marlin.

The next couple should pay it off. I expect to shoot it a bit before grouse season, and then carry it for at least part of the season.

My son figures he'll be using my Italian 20 gauge for birds this fall.
I think maybe, for ammo commonality, I should get him trained up on my old 16 gauge Model 12 Winchester. :D

Enjoy. There's something about a 16 that defies rationality.

Most 90s, like other shotguns of the era, are choked tight. You may want to open them up a little, but pattern first of course.

Good, enjoy. These were working class O/Us, similar to the Fox Model B in price and workmanship.
