I just received my brand new 917vr and I noticed that the barrel is not free floating!!!!!! Does non free floating barrel may affect accuracy on this particular rifle?

Marlin 917v owner chiming in here...
In my opinion, it does make a difference. I had my 917 accurized last year (including bedding the action & having the barrel floated) and my group sizes shrunk considerably.
Here's a pic of what my Marlin can do now. I've found that it likes Hornady 17gr VMAX the best.
100yds, NRA 100yd smallbore target, 10 rounds. (x-ring is 1")

How did you free float the barrel with the barrel mounting screw, did you move it back to the receiver?
I free floated the barrel on my 597 (yeah its not really free floated) and the accuracy skyrocketed.
I can get a dollar bill all the way to the receiver between the barrel and stock on my 917vs, from the factory
The gunsmith that I used did relocate the mounting screw to facilitate the bedding & floating. The guy that did the work was Chris at Aquila Firearms. He offers a package deal on the Marlin 917
