They just started shipping these. Based on the old Autauga 32 which had a good reputation for quality IIRC.

Brochure: https://www.masterpiecearms.com/pdf/mpa-protector-complete.pdf

Production details: https://www.masterpiecearms.com/special-info.php

I bought two NIB Seecamp 32s 15 years ago and paid $275 each. I still have mine, the other one went out the door with the she-devil. I'd rather have a 380ACP though, more power, better ammo versatility and no possibility of rim-lock. I hope it stabilises the 380 CorBon DPX load that equals a 9mm in expansion and penetration.

Seecamp LWS380s MSRP is over $800 if you can find one since the waiting period is a couple of years. You have to get on a waiting list in order to qualify for another waiting list, seriously. The going rate has been above $1,100 for several years but recently the factory has been catching up to demand so they can be found for around a grand if you pound the auction sites.

This one is 1/3 the price of a 380 Seecamp, light, small, milled 4140 construction, lifetime warranty.

Anyone else like the looks of these?

are they out yet? I stumbled across the web-site awhile ago and was interested because right now I'm compromising my faith by carring a Plastic gun (LCP) ;)

Ah, it was in the Google search. Several pages came up that said this

"MasterPiece Arms new product line, the MPA Protector Series pistols, has begun shipping from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Comer, Georgia."

Police Magazine said this:

"MasterPiece Arms has begun shipping its MPA Protector Series line of concealed-carry pistols, offered in .32 ACP and .380 ACP, according to the company.

The pistols are being produced at the company's manufacturing facility in Comer, Ga.

The MPA32 and MPA380 Protector series pistols are fully machined from solid steel and have no castings, polymers or MIMs. The machined 4140 steel receivers and 4140 or stainless steel upper slides are durable, strong and lightweight, according to the company.

Other design features of the Protector Series pistol include a recessed hammer, six-round magazine and injection-molded black grips.

The MPA380 and MPA32 weigh 11.8 ounces, measure .925-inches in width, 4.37 inches in length, and 3.2 inches in height and have a 2.25-inch barrel.

The MPA32 and MPA380 retail for $322.90 in black and $345.90 with a stainless-steel upper receiver."

This is a perfect example of why I get in troble for hanging around gun forums... I want one now!

Look really nice. I have been looking at .380 for a while and now I think I have found my gun.

Peace

It looks like a reincarnated gun first made by Autauga Arms a few years ago.......which, for some reason, didn't catch on.

The grip shape is unconventional, but may help to reduce twisting in the hand. It is difficult to say for sure without someone firing one in a side-by-side comparison test.

My Seecamp points downwards. I have to crank my wrist upwards unnaturally to hit anything.

I believe the grip will help with instinctive pointing and that's important when you don't have sights.

Seecamp CLONE? Hardly.

More like "Kinda looks like a Seecamp if you squint."
Seecamp LWS380s MSRP is over $800 if you can find one since the waiting period is a couple of years.
MSRP is $795.
They are on Gunbroker every day for $800+ NIB. They never sell for $1100 any more.
The waiting period is less than two years, but the only reason to wait is if you want a custom serial # (They do that)

Sorry, but I am a Seecamp fan, and your post has a lot of bad information.

I know nothing about the Masterpiece Arms as far as quality.

$795 instead of $800? :D

I said that they don't bring $1100 anymore since production caught up.

You ok? Need a tissue? You gonna sleep ok?
