So I have a Gustafs 96 that I've been trying to figure out what to do with for some time now. A while ago I thought, briefly, about sporterizing it since I love the round so much but am not a big fan of the length. Then I considered selling it. My question stems from the time I was considering selling it. After seeing other ads for these rifles that said, "All matching" I looked the gun over to see if mine was 'All matching'. Being ignorant as I was, I didn't do a good job and missed a few of the less obvious spots that they liked to put the serial number and I listed it as "All matching". Then someone mentioned to me (in response to my ad) that they put the serial number in a lot of places and that they're not all obvious places. So I pulled it out and looked it over more closely, and sure enough it's not completely all matching. The floorplate on the magazine well and the cleaning rod have different serial numbers than the rest of the rifle.

Now I realize that this hurts the overall value to a collector, but since I'm not at the "I wanna sell this thing" stage any more I'm not worried about that. But I am curious how much two non-matching numbers can drive down the value. I would think the floor plate and the cleaning rod wouldn't really be deal breakers, but I'm not a collector so I don't really know.
