My buddy has a nice turkish mauser that has been semi customized. He needs a good stock for it. Will a 98 mauser replacement stock fit a turkish mauser?

Which turk is it? 1893, 1903, 1938....? If he has a 1938 model, I'm pretty sure a k98 stock will work with only minor fitting at most. Not postive, but it sure seems like it would work, unless theres something different about the 2 that I'm not remembering....
Check Numrich's they are lkely to have the corrct stock for whatevermodel he has, and they are oly like $40 or so usually.http://www.e-gunparts.com/model.asp?idDept=161

I don't know what model it is. I'd assume 38 as there is a date stamped on the reciever ring 1944. He wants a sporter stock as the rifle has been partially customized but it has the original stock. Looking at the walnut 98 stock from boyds but he's not sure if it will fit.

I've never owned a Turk 38, but I have handled plenty of them when I was considering getting one, and I honestly cant picture and differencs from my k98 that would make the stock not work....Sure seems like the action, overall length, etc. are the same, based on my memory and looking at some pics o the 38 online and comparing it to my k98.Hopefully someone will be alo who nows 100% for sure, as now I'm curious whether I'm right, or if theres something I'm missing....
