I got a sale flyer from Cabala's in the mail yesterday.

It has coupons for 20% off all powder, primers, bullets, and cases in stock at the store.
Good Oct 13 thru 23.

The sale started on the 29th at my local Cabelas in WI. I took advantage of this sale and loaded up on cci primers a couple days ago for $27.99 per 1000.

I got a 10% off coupon last week for Cabela VISA holders, I couldn't find anything I needed.

I ordered a tumbler from them on line and a chrony from optic planet so I'm $200.00 over my budget of $0.00 already:eek:

You're lucky, here in AZ they're priced 25% higher than everone else on their powder and primers.

100 new brass in 30 carbine
200 sn 115gr bullets in 30 carbine
20% off
Their shipping was fast--std. frt Fed Ex --3 days
In MI--good thru 10-18-11

I live about 20 miles from local Cabelas find that I can beat there prices most of the time via mail orders, but they are good for window shopping.;)

The only good time to shop in Cabela's is when a sale is on.

Last week while they had most of their reloading equipment on sale I loaded up on dies, a scale and a few other do-dads I needed. I ended up saving a little over $100.

I loaded up on a Powder Valley order & saved a heck of a lot more, even with the hazmat fee.

Small pistol primers - $20.
Large Pistol primers - $15.
8# of Tite Group - $105.70 - Cabela's doesn't even carry this size.

And on top of all that Cabela's is 75 miles away.

This is the month to get em while you can. The vendors are trying to compete with the fuel man/fall stock up of dry goods and early Christmas shoppers. In this economy we can only spend so much and it sure doesn't go as far lately. For the last couple years the $$ are slow to come in for most of us in the construction industry around here. One guy (20 something with his pregnant wife in tow) was at the LGS buying primers last week and remarked to me that he could only afford 200 this time. Any more and he would not have enough fuel to get them home to be able to use what he had just purchased. Paycheck to paycheck is a hard way to get by these days and a lot of us are now in that boat IMHO. I try to get things from Graf and Powder Valley as the Has Mat item prices are better over local when you can mail order them in for me at least. I do try to buy local but when the local prices are 2X the mail order cost I can't afford that right now.

Bruno Shooter Supply near Central and Deer Valley Road sells powder and primers for just a buck or two higher than Powder Valley prices.

Hmm. Gonna need to find that coupon. I've got some powders I want to pick up. Still doing load development on my 223 so 8# jugs isn't necessary yet. A couple 1# cannisters of some powder I don't have would be good. I live about 15 minutes from a Cabela's and stocked up on the CCI SRP when they had them for $20/k. I've got enough to last me a good long while.

keep your eyes on your local cabelas about once every month or two the mo/ks store has been having cci primers 19.99 per 1000.. but only one kind..like small rifle or something

Last time I bought them there, they wouldn't sell me more than 1k per visit. So I said bah humbug!

that rule has been gone for almost three years.. unless they started it up in the last month again? I always got around it anyway.. youi just take them to the cash register and play stupid and one of the teenage girls working there always just does it anyway

.......Just checked prices on Powder Valley for CCI Primers vs my local prices here in Montana

...Powder Valley.................CCI 400= $30.00.............CCI 450= $32.

..Local in Montana..............CCI 400= #23.00.............CCI 450= $23.50

And no sales tax in Montana............ I knew it was: "The Last Best Place".. (smile)

I was at Cabela's last week and the in-store flyer had a 20% off coupon for all primers, powder and bullets. I didn't need any powder but I bib buy some bullets even though I didn't need them. any time you can buy Sierra and Hornady bullets at 20% off is a good day!
