May sell Star PD - Input on mods or replacements?

I've got a Star PD in Starvel that looks great but doesn't carry worth a darn. Belt and IWB holsters allow the gun to chew me up. It seems like it'd be too big to put in an ankle holster. Does anyone have any suggestions on mods to make it more carry friendly or a method that would work better? At this point, the only carry that doesn't have the gun trying to cut me is a fanny pack. As we all know, that just screams GUN!

Failing finding mods or a better carry mode. I'll be selling it. Any recommendations for a good mid-size or smaller carry piece? I like the 26/27 Glocks but my wallet doesn't.

What about it is sharp or otherwise bad for carry? I know lots of people who carry these over compact 1911s because they are a tad rounder and smaller, actually.

I suspect its your holster. Which one of those are your using?

Of couse, you can always just have someone file off all the sharp edges. I did this to my Firestar Plus, and its dreamy now. Though I always put it in an EX-RSO, where it doesn't exactly matter.

A holster with a sweat guard helps a lot, it pads you from the sharp edges.


For a not too-expensive gun that shoots well, try the Bersa Thunder or maybe it's Firestorm 9mm. DA/SA, works like a Sig-Sauer, costs about $300 and is nicely sized for concealment. Fits small hands well, and shoots very well from what everyone owning one has told me. A little bigger than a G26 (not much) and heavier since it's not polymer, but not overly so.
