There was never the intent of doing anything positive. The results of the Biden group was written years ago, just waiting for an excuse to present it at a politically correct time.Reid is also a gun owner and has supported shooting sports in the past. He is from Nevada, so I doubt his constituents will be falling over themselves to ask for more gun control.
Personally, I think Obama should have included Harry Reid in the little task force they set up. He would have been qualified and could have probably given valuable input to help see gun rights respected, but the administration chose a path of frontal assault on the Second Amendment instead.
