You mean I can't bring my 'assault weapon' with me when I vote, like I usually do?

i think this means we can't drive SUVs to the polling place anymore

maybe they can combine the two bills and make it so assault weapon tax payers can not vote

Watch this "user fee"

ratchet up to $2000 the year after it passes. That would be $2000 per year.

And *any* firearm you own will fall under the definition of a "copycat assault weapon" because it fires when the trigger is pulled.

Heres what we think Garagiola is up to:

The AWB, SB 288 is dead in the Judiciary committee

These 2 bills allow the old AWB verbage to be reviewed by
a Taxation committee and an Elections committee
bypassing the Judicial Commitees decision,
and once past either commitee
bringing the MD AWB issue out for a floor vote

dang crafty for a freshman

Someone is guiding this process

My bets on Diane Feinstein's old legal council, Neil Quinter

the Term "Assault rifle" will need to be defined for the tax or for the safety of voters
SB 288 does a good job of defining the beast

Both of these bills were submitted Yesterday, the last day to submit.

Once they get it out of a committee they will prolly "christmas tree" amend SB288 to the bill
