Metalform 1911 mags?

I ordered some with the orange followers and had issues. Emailed metalform and asked to buy a few standard followers (these were used in the 7 round officers sized variation)

They sent me a couple followers for free, despite my offer to pay, and they have worked well since.

The orange followers gave me grief though- awful awful binding. Maybe yours will be different.

I would and have trusted my life to 'em...excellent magazine and value...how often can you have both???

metalforms are all i use. they're cheap as dirt, and always work

I read here on THR that the best way to make a Kimber Ultra run good is to dump the factory mags and use metalform mags.

If you want 8 shots, they make a true 8 shot that protrudes about 3/8" to make room for a steel follower and strong spring.

I've seen this statement many, many times, but no one has ever actually known why.
I'm honestly curious, and not just being contrary.

The only Magazines that I use for my carry 1911 & that I steak my life on are from Tripp's Cobra Mag's period.
