Metalform Rounded Follower in Chip McCormick 10rd Magazine

Has anyone put a Metalform rounded follower in a Chip McCormick 10rd 1911 magazine? If so, does it improve the magazine's feed reliability? I ran into a deputy a week ago and he did this same thing for his mags so I bought a rounded follower (they're frickin expensive) to put in mine. I'd like to hear how it's worked for others because only time will tell if it's working for mine.

My Chip McCormicks have been reliable as they are. The only concern would be using them in an alloy frame gun and battering the steel follower against the relatively soft feed ramp.

Two or three times my Chip McCormick mag (with original follower) failed on the last round. Somehow the last round popped up on top of the mag making the follower lock the slide back.
