MI 13 Democrats are trying to repeal the "stand your ground" law.

I just saw this on the myfoxdetroit website. Apparently there is a group of Democrats introducing a bill to repeal the "stand your ground" law, here in Michigan. Here's a link to the article on myfoxdetroit:

I thought some of you fellow Michiganders might want to contact your reps, and let them know that this is a no go. I know I'll be contacting mine. :)
 
What are their chances of success?
It states in the articles, that even they don't think they have much of a chance of passing this, in our current pro-gun legislature.

I figure it's still good to make some noise when they start talking about this kind of thing though. Let them know we're still out here, and we haven't changed our minds about this. :)
 
In my letter to my representative, I quoted the Michigan Constitution, which clearly states:

"Every person has a right to bear arms for the defense of himself and the state."
