Midsouth's Varmint Nightmare

Is it me or the Midsouth's Varmint Nightmare are the same than the Hornady bulk SP?

The price per bullet for the bulk is 0.0758167
and the price for the Varmint nightmare is 0.07735.

Anyone can confirm or infirm the information?

Having shot thousands of these(the varmint nightmare extreme) I'd have to say yes. But I have no proof. Side by side they are indestinguishable.

Deadly on varmints and quite accurate, the price is right for volume shooting.

Totally theoratical question because I would use my 30 caliber for that task: How would they perform on a medium deer size target at 100 yards with a well aimed shot on the shoulder?

kestak, I think you know the answer to that. They are called Varmint Nightmare, and most people do not consider deer as varmints. The bullets are meant to explode on small game, and unless the velocity is reduced enough, usually will not penetrate enough to give a humane kill on big game with shoulder shots. It's possible that a head or neck shot would be better if you insist on using a 22 centerfire for deer.

Indeed, I think I knew the answer. I was just wondering... It is just because I shot those at wet phonebooks and at 100 yards they penetrate about 6 inch of paper and expand like a mushroom and twist.
