Well, finally got around to taking my two CZs to the range - Mike, a CZ-75B Military, and Ike, a post-WWII CZ-27.
Pics:
Mike, CZ-75B Military with Hogue grips:
Ike, CZ-27 with factory brown plastic grips:
I put 300 rounds through Mike (100 WWB, 100 CCI Blazer, and 100 Sellier and Bellot). No fails to extract/fire, but two slight failures to feed - both cured by simply pushing the rear of the slide very slightly, causing the slide to strip the next one from the mag without incident. Methinks I need a new recoil spring.
Accuracy was good - not incredible, but certainly above average, especially in my untrained hands. Did some groups, but no pics, as Hurricane Jeanne started to rain on my parade - looked about 3 inches at 25 yards. I could hit a soda can from 50 yards away with some regularity, and double taps were pleasant and accurate. I really like this pistol. I REALLY like this pistol.
I put 100 rounds of S&B through Ike. I've never had so many problems with the CZ-27 before - constant stovepiping near the end. Does anyone know where I can get replacement parts for this thing? I'll ask on the CZ forums later, too.
Yes, I did go "John Woo" on the clay pigeons - no accuracy at all, but quite fun.
