To all you wheelgunners out there: I just picked up a S&W 325PD 45 ACP and I'm still assembling my carry system. I'm military and like to carry when I go off-base (and can't on-base :cuss: ), so a clip-on/clip-off system is a MUST. I have the holster (Aker 244A), now I just need the spare moonclip pouches. It's hard enough finding anything that's actually labelled a "moonclip" pouch :banghead: , so I'm thinking I'll just have to find a speed loader pouch that fits. Does anybody know of a CLIP-ON speedloader pouch that will accomodate a 6-shot 45 ACP moonclip? Many thanks in advance!

I have a small digital camera case that threads on the belt. I know you want a clip, but that may not be an option. The good thing is, the belt loop actually is a button snap, so it's easy on/easy off.

I stack two Moon Clips in mine and it hides them well and doesn't look "gunny". It actually looks somewhat like a nylon cell phone case. You would have to look real close to be able to tell what's in it, and I only let my wife get that close. ;)

Massad Ayoob said that when he carried a M25 he used a .45 Colt speedloader pouch which held two layers of full-moon clips. 24 rounds in a double pouch.

Moon clips will fit in most speedloader pouches. The problem is the clip on requirement. I have not seen very many clip on pouches or holsters that I would trust to stay clipped to my belt belt. They all seem to work their way off and I don't want to drop one on the deck in a place where it would draw undue attention.(or cops). I had a clip on holster work its way off of a belt during a long drive and walked into a gas staion where it hit the floor and freaked the clerks out pretty bad. I carry a crossdraw holster and ammo pouches on a separate belt worn just above my pants belt which I can remove easily if necessary. Everything stays on the belt until I take it off. Of course this requires a jacket or some type of covering garment. A crossdraw holster is much more comfortable and easier to access when driving or sitting down.
