has anyone tryed this mount with a long eye releif scope? I know many will say don't put a scope on an sks but this one mounts to the rear sight, seems like it would be more stable than on the receiver or gas tube. if they work half way decent it would be fun to put a red dot on.

Have not tried them. I have a side mount on my SAR1 with see thru mounts but it is not very stable. I am thinking of drilling it and putting 2 small allen head screws to stabalize it better. It does look nice with all the extras. ( pistol fore grip, scope and mount with see thru rings, and 2 1/2" stock extension)

I had this mount on the first SKS I had. It's solid and holds zero well. It doesn't cause a problem with loading by stripper clips or on ejection. The only thing I'd do differently is use a 30mm scope or larger, the 1" scope was hard to pick up at times. Wish I had it back now.
