Which brand of Mini14 Mags are you folks having the best luck with?
Yes I know the Rugers are good, but they are priced more than the gun :)

And more important, which of these brands do you see vendors actually have in stock instead of the perpetual backorder there seems to be a lot of places.
Probably more interested in 20rd mags. I have not heard good things about any of the 30 rounders, but if you have had good experience with those I'd like to know.

Thanks as always.

I think you may have better success getting an answer to your question by visiting www.perfectunion.com/forums and looking under Ruger Mini-14 Talk. You find an area called Ruger Mini-14 Magazines that may be helpful. :)

I've seen a lot of people who swear by PMI mags (20 & 30rnd, not the 40 rnders).

My personal experience has been Ruger, PMI, and Thermold have worked flawlessly. I never had perfect function or fit with anything else.

I guess my experience with Thermolds is different than the others here. I had a bunch that wouldn't work correctly in either of two Minis. PMI (and Ruger, obviously) work great.

PMIs are just fine, even the 40s... I haven't tried the stainless 40s, but I know the blued ones work great.

The new ProMag 20s seem to work well from what I've heard. they are under $20 a piece....

ProMag is making 20s and 30s now. They are Ruger LEO clones, even the welds are in the same place. All the reviews so far are good.
