Charlie,

You will really like those 200 gr SWC. I load 'em over Unique. My Springer shoots feeds them with no trouble and shoots nice groups.

I want to using Missouri bullets for my 357 and 45 Auto Rim. I am tired of the leading I get with Speer swaged bullets. I want to use 158 gr. SWC for the 357 and 200 gr. for the 45. My loads are on the low end of Speer's loading charts and I don't know what bullet hardness to order. I would appreciate advise from those who currently use these bullets.

Missouri Bullet, why the 12BHN? I've always been told the 18BHN will lead the least.

She deserves a raise.

Charlie, you've got to hand it to Jo Ann, who does the phone orders and shipping. Today she shipped 66 cartons containing 97,000 bullets. Two pallets' worth! I don't know how she does it, to be honest.

You mentioned "low end loads", did you not?

Did you read the technical writeup I did on our website? I try to explain this stuff there.

Brad

Read the technical stuff on MB's webpage. That should help you understand why the softer pB vs harder stuff.

When you're ready to jack up velocity & pressure, the 18BHN magnum bullets will take more than you can.

I've only run the 12BHN 185gr LSWC, 200gr LRNFP and 230gr LRN in my 1911s and never had a problem with leading. That was 3 different 1911s - a Springer GI, Springer Loaded, and Rock Island Compact.

You cannot go wrong by buying both--12 and 18 hardness, been useing them for several years in several guns.
