hello i am new to this fine fourm , thank you for having me. i carry a mk9 with a rubber grip and am thinking about switching to wood. does anyone have them on there mk9 ? (from reading past post it seems there are alot of kahr owners/fans on this particualar forum) would adding the wood grips comp. for the rubber grips or is it gonna just church the gun up a bit ?
i held a mk40 with wood grips and it def. seemed to fill the hand more than the reg. palstic grips. could this be cause the fourty has a fatter grip ? thankss for any info you can hooks it up with.

The older MK9 models had a very nice thicker plastic/nylon (not rubber) Hogue grip. The newer MK9's have a very thin plastic grip that is hard to grip well. The older MK9 could not accept the new MK9 thin grips without modification.

I prefer the older grips, even though they are a tad thicker.

Wooden grips on an MK9? I wouldn't, even if they are made, never heard of any. The plastic/nylon grips on the MK9 are very tough and are in a way an integral part of the frame.

Having trouble with your purchase on an MK9. Put some skate board tape on the front strap, or have it checkered.

From the Kahr site:

"MK9, 9mm pistols, which begin with the prefix "GAxxxx" cannot accept the MK-Series wood grips."

That let's me out. I have an older MK9 in that serial number range. I still prefer the slightly thicker older MK9 Hogue grips.

Funny... I was just browsing the Kahr site before I came to thehighroad this evening. I was lusting the wood grips for my MK9 (my sn is GBXXXX so I think they would work. The first post I went to was this one.

Does anybody here have the wood grips on thier Karr?
