Model 10-7 nickle

Saw a S&W model 10-7 nickle plated the other day at a pawn shop. It looks to be in good shape and checks out fine. I didn't write the serial number down so I can't get a date range for it. The price tag had $368 on it but as soon as I looked at it the guy said he could do better. Any idea where to start with an offer? I thought it might be worth about $220, is this about right?

If it has the old pencil barrel it was probably made around 1977. A heavy barrel would be later. If it is in VERY good shape $220 would be reasonable, but at the top of the usually recognized value range. $368 is out of sight.

I picked up a pristine pencil barrel 10-7 for $200 while back. $368 is outrageous.
