Are the Model 10(-6) worth the extra money?
Seems like the 4" is cheaper than the 2" by $50-$75.

What is one worth any how?
Local shop has one, and might be interested in it?
Figured I'd ask here, and see how far off they are from
the ACTUAL current blue book value.

Thanks Guys.

A 10-6 would have a pinned barrel. If you are comparing it to a newer 4" with a crush fit barrel that makes a difference, also there are many more 4" model 10s than 2", that makes a difference also. Production of 10-6s was about 1962 - 1977, so you might be getting into collector territory there for a really nice one.

In other words to make a good comparison more info about each gun is needed. :)

Only problem with the 2" 10 is the ejector rod is on the short side.

The 3" is the real jewel among the K-frames, if you ask me :). Full length ejector, not much harder to conceal.

I recently saw two different 4" Model 10's in decent condition with holster wear for $229 and $239 at a local shop. There are many of these around from police trade-ins, so the price is right.

The length of the ejector rod doesn't matter if one know how to properly eject the empies, assuming everything else is in good working order. Yes, a 3" would be better, but they are really scarce.
