I am having a tough time estimating the value of one of my firearms for insurance purposes. I have a 1915 Winchester Model 12 Pigeon Grade in 20 gauge with a factory 24" vent rib and the most beautiful English stock I have every seen. The Blue book is very sketchy on the Pigeon due to the fact they were custom built for a specific person.
The Blue book states a value for the Pigeon Model 12 and adds that guns with rare barrel lengths and stock options which mine has both can dramatically increase the value. If any of you have seen a Pigeon with these rare options sold or for sale please let me know what it sold for or what the asking price was.
