I've been working up a modest C&R collection lately, and its got me wondering about usage.

I have the inkling to put some C&R guns, rifles and pistols, through the paces of modern basics to see how they stack up against the "cutting edge". Nothing scientific here, just some good old fashioned fun. :D

The Nagant, Tokarev, MAB D against S&W, Glock, and Beretta.

I will of course share my findings with the good people of THR. What suggestions do you have to make things more interesting?

collecting is fun----
i am going to try and fill in some blanks, ok?
nagant--the 1895 7.62 x 38
tokarev--the 33 7.62 x 25
mab d--the 32 acp.

i am at a loss how to caliber the S&W--should it be 38-200 or 38 or 357, or ??
glock im going to go with 9mm cause the
beretta will be 9mm, yes?

'make things more interesting'
please clarify

Maybe compare the bottled necked tok to 357sig and nagant, have fun with a 5.7 if you can find it. Look for recent platforms and bullets to see if there is any real improvement.

You might want compare a modern pocket 9 to the .32.
