More light output from a twin task?

Is there a higher output replacement xenon bulb for the streamlight twin-task 2L? The stock xenon bulb puts out 72 lumens. I used to carry a brighter flashlight, but i decided to get the twin-task because i have this nasty habit of misplacing disposable penlights and could use the LED function to check my paitents without blinding them. However, i do miss the ability to light up a city block. (my old xenon light is now mounted under my winchester defender.)

I don't know. You might post this to the Candlepower forums (lightgeeks ), or contact Streamlight directly. Lemme know if you find out as my better half has one also.

Hmm. I just bought the 2L version online. Will be interested in seeing how bright it is. Is it at all comparable to the Scorpion (6500 candlepower)?

I'm not sure how you'd convert lumens to candlepower.

You can't convert Lumen ratings to CP ratings because even if the ratings were accurate (which it not always the case), without knowing a lot more detailed information about the nature of the beam, just one rating on it's own is not enough.

The best way to compare flashlight output is side-by-side in the conditions you tend to use your flashlight the most.

For what it's worth, I don't know of any higher output bulb options for the twin-task 2L but as mentioned, the "Flashaholics" (as we tend to prefer) on CPF may do...

Man i would love to have a brighter bulb in the twintask. I got one liking the idea of like a surefire and a LED light in one, but i just always really want my 120 lumen surefire when i use the xenon (not that happy with the tightness of the beam either).
