Mossberg 410 Shockwave and standard 500 barrels

I finally got my 18.5" barrel in for my 410 Mossberg 500 today and took some comparison photos of it and my 410 Shockwave. For those wondering, no the barrels will NOT interchange. There is no way to put the 14" shockwave barrel on a standard 500E. Not only is the magazine tube shorter on the Shockwave, but how the barrel mounts is different also.

I'm thinking that is why Mossberg did that. I did NOT take the bird head grip or stock of either one to see what if any differences there are. Best to leave well enough alone.

After looking at the new 410 590, the barrel for it won't swap with the Shockwave barrel either due to the difference in mag tube length.

The 410 Shockwave does pretty good with the 3" Winchester PDX-1 and 3" buckshot rounds.

I love my 410 Shockwave. I ended up finding a 18.5" barrel for my standard 410 500 for the fiancé to use.
