I have continuously owned at least one Mossberg 500 series gun since the 1960's . They are very good shotguns.
The Super Bantam has the spacers for changing the LOP if that is a factor for growing young folks. The regular Bantam can be bought with a slug barrel combo which is great for those states that have slug only hunting area's like mine.
Bantam is an inch shorter stock, about 1/2 pound lighter than regular SA-20 line. They are good functional shotguns. Just because its a little shorter length of pull doesn't mean it will fit and balance well for her. Recommend take her to a store with good selection and try mounting a bunch of different guns to find most comfortable and natural fit before buying. Also, start out with light target loads as those 20 guage youth models are very light guns and 3" magnum shells tend to kick hard even in autoloaders.
Have a couple of them for the grandkids.....nice small package for the little people to learn with. So far kids have gotten three deer and a turkey with them.
