Does the MR Desert Eagle .44 use standard .44 remington magnum ammo? Is it tough on cases? Is it easy to convert to 50 AE Like 1911 autos can be converted form 45 to 38?
Thanks a bunch,

Yes, it uses standard .44 Mag ammo.

As for converting between calibers, depends on the frame. The older Mark VII frame is non-interchangeable, the newer Mark XIX frame is real simple; you swap barrels and mags, and you're done.

The Desert Eagle only fires full power jacketed ammo. No lead bullets of any kind and no .44 specials or weak magnum loads.

The Mk XIX is the way to go, but swapping calibers won't be cheap. The barrels are very expensive.

It's no tougher on cases than any other auto (at least in .44 Rem Mag).

it fires non-jacketed hollow points just fine. If you are wanting to swap out calibers you might as well just buy another desert eagle cause the barrel it self is almost 700bucks.

Unless you get an older .50AE Mk VII. Its frame is identical to the Mk XIX frame (which were based off of the .50 Mk VII).
