Mr. & Mrs. Hollywood spent how much?!?

I have no idea who these two are, but personally I am glad that two people who obviously are not felons went out and bought 10K+ worth of guns and ammo. The detractors and haters posting here are a joke hypocrites and more than likely simply jealous. I happen to like really rich people as long as they didn't steal or commit crimes to get really rich. In fact I try to do everything I can to accumulate as much wealth as possible. Some of my closet friends are wealthy rich and are good down to earth people God fearing people who have worked hard to get rich. Like others have already stated if this had been the Duke Heston Eastwood Selleck or the like(all of which reached their fame through Hollywood via the movies or TV) we would be singing their praises.

As to those who claim to never watch a movie read a paper or even own a TV, great good for you. Isolate yourself all you want, the rest of the world will continue on just fine without you. However I must add there are several very good quality & educational programs as well as great movies & musical concerts on TV every week. Additionally if you think others will see as some type of rebel renaissance man you only fooling yourself, most will only see you as uninformed & weird or liars. Like not having or watching a TV reading print media or going to the movies is making some kind of great social statement or something. Yet you are on you the Internet, which by the way has created many more problems than TV or the movies ever have. Can you say PORN PEDOPHILES TERRORIST STALKERS IDENTITY THEFT HATE BLOGS both on the left and right, as well as more misinformation spread on it in its short life than all the TV networks combined ever broadcast. Once again good for them, I hope they safely enjoy their new purchases and learn to use them expertly.

If Clint Eastwood or John Wayne bought 10k of guns in one day, this entire community would be sending letters of support...

I'll bet Clint Eastwood has spent $10k on guns in a single day before.

Anyone know Mr. Eastwood personally to corroborate this? :D

they're the most hated Hollywood couple? I've never even heard of them.

Good taste in guns though apparently.

Who are they?

I've never seem or heard of these folks before but more power to them for being willing to rely on themselves for their own protection. Just hope they get the proper training if it is the first time behind the trigger for them.

You know, there is a legitimate reason to not like the way these two kids are throwing the money down on firearms. These two are supposed to be the couple that everyone loves to hate. They're the negative example. Amidst whatever jacka$$ery they engage in they happen to purchase firearms for a perfectly legitimate reason.

But, since everything else they do is viewed negatively, buying guns will also be viewed negatively. At least by those easily influenced by the media.

ha-ha-ha...more Hollywood BS...

This post makes me laugh..:D

The sad part is who is the bigger dope? The nitwit "celebs" who the 24-07 media scramble after or the "sheeple" in the general public who consume this media crap:rolleyes:.

I like the part about the "Delta Force"(BTW; SECDEF Rumsfeld ended the US Army Delta Force unit. It's now called the CAG, Combat Applications Group, ;)).

These young kids know they are going to be a flash in the pan and need to grab as much $$$ while they can. Also, like Homer Simpson when they get $$$ they want guns! :p

I think these two are being called mall ninjas and morons because buying the same gear as the delta force normally means you think the key to a firearms encounter is hardware, not software

I think it is highly likely that these two are thinking in that manner, however we don't know for sure. It is also possible that the gun ignorant media/entertainment industry who DOES think in these terms wouldn't even think to ask or mention "the two are having them shipped to gunsite for a week of intense training sometime after the final episode of their TV show is taped"

However, being that the people buying the gear are ALSO media/entertainment types, the chances of them understanding hardware/software gets even slimmer than the 'average' rich person spends a ton on tactical gear.

I don't klnow who these two individuals are (much less care), but I would find that their collective (assumed) recreation funds are much greater than my reserves. Just hope that they get the appropriate training, and acquire the proper storage device for the newly purchased firearms, at the very least.

By the media?! No!,

As for the "Delta Force" wording that is what most civvies and regular army know it as, it is Technically :1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D) OR Combat Applications Group, Pick your choice.

Is the class warfare rhetoric necessary here?

They were born rich, or so it seems. They are supposed to be a hated couple, for some reason or other. They bought a pack of nice guns. Good for them. They recognize the value of guns for non-sporting purposes.

I'm glad an American couple has exercised their second amendment rights. I don't judge them for what they bought or why they bought it, and I hope they have fun and learn to use them well.

Really, can we accuse them of not buying ammo, never firing their guns, being mall ninjas, etc? I'm just happy for them.

So if they put their pants on like everybody else in the morning then they probably

had a visit from the ATF wanting to know why they needed so many firearms in such a hurry. :scrutiny:

D-boys....

The US Army post is correct, partly, :D.

SECDEF Donald Rumsfeld cut the D-boys from the USSOCOM, US Special Operations Command and from the US Army. He ordered the CAG go directly under the DoD to work on spec-ops/top secret missions. I think the US Navy's DevGRP or Development Group AKA; SEAL-06(the elite counter terrorism SEAL team) is also under DoD control now. ;)

Sadly, depending on the kind you buy, $10,000 won't buy a great many guns nowadays.

:(

Anyway, I have seen that headline elsewhere and thought, "So what? Guns are legal, for goodness' sake!"

So will we ever see any headlines about how much money a "Hollywood-type" person spent on illegal drugs in a month? Hah! Fat chance!

I could see myself going on a $10,000+ gun buying spree, but this idea is tempered by the idea of sleeping in the doghouse for a very long time :banghead:
