Although I'm starting to wonder who really doesn't want peace based on some of the comments here and in other Legal/Political threads. I guess to some, remaining self righteous is better than accepting an olive branch of any kind. :D

Bottom line, these people can do more to stop the problem than us or any of our bombs. The sooner people recognize that, the better. If changing those Wahabbist textbooks isn't a good thing, I don't know what is. That in itself is removing a large part of the next generation of extremists - anyone worth his weight in fertilizer would see that.

Although most of the arguments you get here will simply come down to the oversimplified concept of "Christianity is the shining light of the world! No Christians commit sins! Islam and it's practicioners are our enemies, and evil minions of satan that should be wiped off the face of the earth!"

When you look a little deeper, not only is that untrue, but it's half the problem.

In an Israel vs. Arab states fight, I usually come down the Jewish side.

They are, after all, outnumbered.

Jews and Christians who claim the elusive "Judeo-Christian Ethics" can't whine about Muslim lying when the Bible has stories about "heroes" who lied to the enemy, implying that lying under certain circumstances is morally acceptable.

Judges 4:18
Joshua 2:4
etc...

Kings, heads of states and ministers closed a two-day summit in Islam's holiest city, Mecca, that had been convened to address terrorism, seeking to counter criticism that the Islamic world has done little to confront extremism.

Aren't these the very guys that the exremists want to kill anyway? It's a good message, but I'm not sure the messengers are someone the extremists will pay attention to.
