muzzle nut for ak

I need a muzzle nut (thread protector) for my AK. It has a 24x1.5 RH thread. Where can I buy one? Lacking that, I could saw off an inexpensive brake with the proper threads. Where might I find these?

PS all of the usual suspects (eg Midway, even Amazon) have plenty of 14x1 LH nuts.

I was searching on "thread protector" and "muzzle nut" I now see that they are also called "barrel nuts". I prefer the k-VAR because the CNC is fully castleated. This leaves some of the thread exposed.
