Just took possession of my first can, a Sparrow SS, after ~120 days in NFA limbo. I have been trying it on an assortment of guns, all with factory threaded barrels.

Buckmark Camp Whisper - no issues

Chiappa Little Badger - very long threads so I'm using the spacer provided by SilencerCo.

Ruger Charger TD - threads seem to foul after 20 shots or so. Silencer couldn't thread onto little badger after using the charger, until threads cleaned with bore brush.

Is there anything I can do to make this work smoother/better?

Are there other little tricks I should know now that I have this?

Thanks!

Barrels threaded correctly for the Sparrow have a different arrangement than standard threaded barrels. They have a section near the muzzle that doesn't have any threads. This is for the rubber "O" ring that is in the throat of the Sparrow. The "O" ring seals against the un-threaded portion of the barrel, keeping fouling out of the threads. If your barrels are threaded all the way to the muzzle, the "O" ring has no effect. I have barrels correctly threaded for the Sparrow, and barrels with standard threading. I have a SS Sparrow. I never really notice much difference when screwing the suppressor onto the barrel. A few have been slightly gritty, I simply take a little light machine oil(3-in-1) and put a drop or two inside the suppressor threads. You might have to thread in, back out, and thread in, several times, but this works for me. Here's is a pic of my Bobcat, with the "Sparrow O ring" cut.
