My Boy & I Lined Up The Handi Rifle

We finally go to line up my 500 Mag Handi-rifle yesterday & its a extremely accurate rifle at 40 yrds Daniel my boy cut one of those little white lead pencils thats at the lotto thing in half & i took off a mtach head also i know that some of you guys will think that we are just plain lying but it the God's Honest truth i am not trying to sell it or nothing i am thrilled with the rifle & scope both i have no reason to lie about my rifle . I am using the Rainer LS 300 gr TCP HP 500 bullets i still havetwo other weights to test yet the Rainer 335 gr TCP HP & the Rainer 275 gr TCP HP the load we were shooting yesterday is as follows 300 gr Rainer HP, 44.5 grains of Ramshot Enforcer Powder & Hornady brass & Wolf Large Rifle Primers . Now i can get the video up just as soon as my daughter gets over the flu & ill take the video of her & my wife shooting it up. Oh the scope is a Barska Euro Pro 3x12x56mm 30mm dia tube & the rings that came with my scope
 
Congrats on the new rifle. I'be never had the pleasure of getting behind a .500 s&w. I wouldn't expect that scope to last too long considering the recoil of the rifle.
 
Lining Up My 500 NEF Handi Rifle

The Barska Scope i put on my 500 has already had 72 rounds under it & it does have a lifetime warranty its a win win either way . I know that lots of shooters buy the high dollar scopes but i just cant afford them i have to find a scope that will stand up & serve me well for a lesser price . I am on a fixed income & believe me it fixed i guess only time will tell if my Barska holds up to my 500 we shall see I caught this sccope for $84.99+ $8.99 S&H & i have a Barska on my CVA Optima 50 cal magnum & its holding up really better than i am this rifle gives me a good wallup with the magnum load i use in it & its a cheap Barska Huntmaster 3x9x50 mm my wife ordered both the rifle & scope from Midway for my Christmas & i have used a entier box of the IMR White Hots & the scope hasn't failed yet it. I am thinking that a person can buy a good scope for a lot less than the expensive ones & do just as good i have proved this to me we shall see how it goes fellas
 
Sounds like you guys had a great time. Handis are good cheap fun and you spent quality time with your boy. I'd say you had a pretty darn good day.
 
Trapper, what sort of loads where you using for this session?

I don't have the Handirifle but I've got a TC Encore with pistol length barrel and a shoulder stock which pretty much equates to your Handirifle. Up to now I'd always shot serious near max loads for the recoil and fireball effect. But I'm thinking of trying out some loads with general plinking and accuracy in mind instead of going for the "last of the day big thump" giggles.
