Well, my dad and I were set up near some brush piles. A couple of deer came up while it was still dark and started blowing. I talked back to them with my doe bleet. They left. About 7:30, my dad STANDS UP and stretches. He was sitting on the ground, and I was in a tree 30 yds. away. I dediced to sit him down by looking through the scope of my rifle. I blew a few times on my doe call, and here comes a nice 8 pointer stepping in fast. He walked right by my dad, past the brush pile, and when he came out on the other side, I shot him in the heart with my 30-06. He ran about 50-60 yards and dropped like a rock. This was outside of Gainesville, Florida. 10,000 acres of private, managed land.
