Hi folks !

Today I was lucky enough to get my hand on a freshly delivered black and evil SiG 553 !

As you guys may know, the 553 is the answer to the reliabîlity problems of the 551 and 552 series, by using the proofed and tested SIG550 gaz piston system.. It features the same mechanism as the 550, but is much shorter.. But lots of parts are exactly the same, the most remarquable being the bolt and bolt transporter which are fully transferable to and from a SiG 550 !

I was really impressed by the compacity of the gun, and it's weight. Actually, it didnt weight more than my M4 semi clone-.. and the weight is what I HATE in my SiG550...

The finish of the gun is really perfect, and at first glance, I couldnt find anything to say about it.

As for precision, it seemed very easy to shoot at 50m.... when we went to the 300m range, shooting with Ironsight, the result was nearly the same as averagely good shooter using a full size barrelled SiG550... I bet that fitted with an ACOG, that 553 would be devastating !

The only thing I would complain about that SiG553 is the lack of a 4 rail handguard.. placing a flaslight on it, or even a laser would certainly be cool. I know that Brugger&Tommet makes one, but hell, it is darn exepensive.

The rifle itself is not cheap.. i mean, you have to drop 3150$ of your wallet for that piece of weaponery, but i'd say that is worth them all.

I think it's gonna be my next AR.

Here is a couple of picture of it, I made with my telephone..(sorry for bad qualitiy)

The gentleman there was kind enough to pose for my camera ! (He wanted to keep low profile, that is why I censored his face..)
