This was my most recent letter sent out to all my federal and state reps as well as the AG of my state using the NRA's write your reps page (see link in sig).

April is fast approaching and on the national level the gun control issues will soon be voted on. I'd like to take the time to remind you of your duty to protect the Constitution of the United States and of the state of Maine. Many people would have you believe that with thousands of existing gun laws already in place that are scarcely enforced that we're just one more law away from making everyone safe. The criminals will ignore these laws as they do the existing ones and only law abiding citizens will suffer. The Constitution does not guarantee us the Right to safety, but to the Right of liberty.

I write to you as your constituent making not only my own voice heard but HUNDREDS of others I have spoken with over the past few months that may not have taken the time to write. Rest assured the gun owners of America and of the state of Maine are committed to supporting the honorable representatives and unseating the ones who would strip us of our Rights.

We are all watching to see how you handle this issue and will not forget at election time. If you stand for our Rights we will pledge our support to you. Don't let this great nation and this great state lose the foundation it was built on. Stand strong, we are behind you.

Sincerely,
XXXX

I hope you all write at least one (more) letter to your reps urging them to oppose further gun control or any "universal background checks". (I did not specify the UBC in my letter because I've already sent several of them specifically regarding the UBC and why it should be opposed).

Well written. I hate seeing people post letters to their representatives (not just on this site, pretty much anywhere) that seem like they were written by a semi literate monkey.

That one actually sounds like it was written by an intelligent person.
