My new deerslayer!

Just picked up a new one for the collection today! It's an early Christmas present. Remington 700 BDL stainless/synthetic in .30-06. It's got Leupold scope rings and a Simmons Whitetail scope (the guy that sold it to me threw the scope in for free, I plan on getting some quality glass on it sometime next year). Just in time for my holiday trip out to our land where I'll hopefully score a deer. It also came with a pretty good hard case. Paid $450 used like new.

Shore is purty.

Though blued and wood is traditional, there's always something about a scoped bolt-action in stainless and synth that just seems to say, "New materials, but the spirit's still alive."
