Well here goes My first thread I just picked up this 1940's RB Pre Model 10. I was surprised the grips were Ser. #ed to the gun and fit so snug you almost don't need the grip screw. Here's the pics...

Clearly a post 1948 gun it must have been one of the last ones made with the old service stocks.

According to the info I found it's early '49 ser #C 55 XXX.

Sorry, I bought it for the toy when I put the money down on it. I do love the way they fill the gap behind the guard. Check Ebay they get them now and again.

Yes, the owner had a heart attack last year that screwed up manufacture and delivery by a lot(one or two man shop) but from what I hear they have about 6 to 8 week delivery time.
