..........Well, it was a 3 day shy of 12 weeks wait for my 5" Milt Sparks Versa Max II. I knew that though, when I ordered it directly from Milt Sparks www.miltsparks.com and let me tell you, it was worth the wait.

It fits my Series I Kimber Custom Classic like a glove. The workmanship and materials are superb. The big Kimber clicks right into it perfectly. It even smells great. :D

I previously bought a VMII for my 3" Kimber Ultra CDP Elite Sts II. That holster is the most comfortable IWB holster I have ever worn. It's just a great product. At the time I wanted the holster immediately and the nice folks at Lightning Arms www.lightningarms.com were able to oblige me. it cost me a few bucks more but I did need it ASAP.

Here is a pic of the VMII with my Kimber:

Is that cowhide or horsehide? And, what is with the white stitching? My VM-2 doesn't have white stitching. I have two more on order now. Do you suppose they'll have white stitching?

It's cowhide. I have 2 VMII's and they are both natural and both have white stitching. Just guessing but I would imagine that they could use another color stitching if you so desired, but I really don't know.

Mine is cordovan and the stitching matches the holster. I had never seen the white stitching before. I like it's appearance.

I have been thinking about ordering one of those for awhile. In fact, I clicked on this thread to see if you were selling one. I don't own a concealment rig for a full sized 1911 and thought this would be the one. My current CCW rig is a Milt Sparks Summer Special and a Colt Officer's Model. I am also waiting on a Milt Sparks rig that should be done pretty darn quick; it is a sharkskin belt and revolver holster for my K-Frames.
I was also thinking about ordering a nice sharkskin holster for my 1911s also to wear on the belt I already ordered. I normally use a Bladetech plastic holster. It works fine, but it has no class.

Looks good.

Im shopping around for a quality leather holster for my Hi-Power and so far cant decide between the Versa-Max or a Desantis Cozy Partner.
