My new PM9 Kahr went to the range tonight for the first time for break in. I have to say that I was very impressed with the gun. But I had numerous jams but I think it was due to the ammo I used. I always use Winchester White Box ammo for range use, but since I couldn't get waited on at the worthless Wal Mart sporting goods counter, I just purchased the cheap gun shop ammo. The ammo was Team Magtech 115gr Ammo. I ran 175 rounds of this stuff through.
I ran one magazine of my Corbon carry ammo and it fed perfect. My wife even remarked that her Sig P239 jammed a few times with this el-cheapo ammo. And her Sig never jams with Whitebox.
So before I blame the gun, I'm heading back later in the week with Whitebox ammo and see what happens.
Any thoughts?

It was all in the Ammo

Went back to the range today to finish breaking in my Kahr PM9 and it worked flawlessly with Winchester Whitebox ammo.
I did try to run one mag of the Magtech ammo and it jammed every time. I never got one round fired.
Gander Mountain has whitebox on sale here for $11.34 per box. for 9mm :)

Wolf caused my PM9 to act strangely

Eventually I figured out that my box of Wolf was about 1 mm longer than UMC FMJ or any other rounds I put through it... I think the tip of the bullet was brushing the clip release and causing misfeeds.

Good luck with yours!

Just for kicks, field strip the gun and check the polymer rails for any burrs or rough spots not taken care of during final factor inspection.

I found a few plastic strings that might have caused problems, but fixed them prior to firing my PM9.

Mine has been 100% every round - great little gun!

Looks like yours does not like the Magtech ammo.

"...el-cheapo ammo..." That'll do it. Mind you, some pistols will shoot the Magtech ammo and not the White Box stuff. If you're not reloading, you'll have to try as many brands as you can to find the one that shoots best in your pistol.

7 rnd mag problems

My PM9 is 100% reliable with the 6 rnd mag, but the extended 7 rnd mag has trouble chambering the 1st round. I've heard of others with this same problem, but I haven't heard of a fix yet. I'll send mine back to Kahr for a replacement. i may even buy extra 6 rnd mags.
