My New Toy a H. Schmeisser Mod 1 Pistol

I thought you may want to see my new purchase. It is a Schmeisser Model 1 in 25 ACP. What is unusual about this pistol is that it is 100% new in the box and never been fired. The original box is immaculate and also is included are the original instructions, the orginal receipt showing puchased in 2/40 and an orginal box of ammo. My reaseach told me that this fellow is the same one who designed the Schmeisser SMG used in WWII. Not a mark on the pistol!

Very nice pistol...However, the "Schmeisser" machine pistol or MP38/MP40 were not designed by Hugo Schmeisser. He patented the straight magazine that was used to feed it, and the magazines were marked "Schmeisser" which, in turn, led the gun to be misnamed the "Schmeisser." Heinrich Vollmer actually designed the MP38/MP40. Schmeisser did have some input and design work on the STG43...
