I’ve only owned a Mossberg 500 20 gauge (wood bantam Model) and i have been watching the v3 since it came out. Stuff finally aligned where I could pick one up and I am very impressed! I can’t believe how lightly it kicked with 1 1/8 oz Winchester Aa Heavy Target 7 1/2 loads which I picked up a 250 round case of and plan to use opening day of dove in september.

Mine was new but must be older (it was 560 dollars at GrabAGun) because I could not get the gas pistons out and the manual calls for 100 In lbs which I believe is an older spec. I am very impressed by the synthetic stock, these sure have come a long way!

I really ought to get big paper and do more patterning but right now do you think that IC choke is too holey for dove hunting and I should stick with Mod?

First couple days of dove season I/C might be fine, then I would switch to a mod or tighter choke when they get fast and wary of hunters.

Congratulations on the V3. They seem to getting really good reviews. Haven't seen one in the wild yet but one day...

I would go wth IC also. It's easy enough to make a change in the field if need be.

How about a pic of the gun?
